We offer hands-on, real-world experience in skills like production, on-camera reporting, management, content creation, esports business skills, and more. Here, we’ll break down the unique qualities of each area of study to help you decide which sports degree is right for you.
Full Sail University’s Dan Patrick School of Sportscasting was created in collaboration with sportscasting legend Dan Patrick to give students on-camera and behind-the-scenes production experience. Studying sportscasting is a good pick for students who’d like to turn sports highlights into vibrant stories and commentary. You’ll do hands-on work in a professional studio environment, where you’ll cover skills like vocal training, interviewing, reporting, broadcast writing, and presentation skills. For your final project, you’ll write, edit, and deliver an original piece of sportscasting for your professional portfolio.
Sports Marketing & Media bachelor’s
When you explore sports marketing and media, you’ll discover how marketing and content creation function in the daily operations of sports businesses. You’ll tackle foundational marketing and event management skills, then learn professional photo and video skills for sports content creation. The degree program also covers sponsorships, contracts, social media campaigns, and more. Your final portfolio will include brand-specific sports content and a strategic business proposal.
Game Business & Esports bachelor’s
By studying game business and esports, you’ll gain the skills needed to work with game publishing companies, esports organizations, and more. You’ll learn how to apply business foundations, like marketing, communication, and sponsorships, to the world of esports. You'll also explore esports business models and strategies, content creation for video-sharing platforms, and online community engagement. For your final project, you’ll use all of your hands-on learning to produce, manage, and stream an esports event in one of Full Sail’s professional venues.
Entertainment Business master’s – Sports Management Elective Track
