How to Solder a Cable [Video]
Published on Aug 15, 2012 by Amy Cassell
Is there anything more frustratingly inconvenient than having a cable cut out on you? Whether you're taking the stage to perform for your adoring fans or hard at work in your home recording studio, it's inevitable that all cables will eventually need to be replaced or repaired. And if you know how to solder your own cables, you can opt for the latter and save yourself time and money.
In this installment of our How-To Series, Full Sail University Principles and Applications of Electricity Course Director Brent Hughes comes to the rescue of a band facing some technical difficulties right as they're about to perform in the Full Sail Live Venue – and in the process, guides us through the steps of cable soldering. Pay attention, and you might very well become a soldering superhero one day, too.
