Students Participate in 2024 Full Sail Means Business Pitch Competition
Full Sail recently held the annual Full Sail Means Business Pitch Competition, in which students present real-world solutions to business problems. A panel of industry experts judged the presentations, and the students with the best presentations received scholarships ranging from $2,000 to $20,000. This year, more than 51 submissions were received from students in 18 different areas of study.
“Full Sail Means Business is an annual competition, where students from all degree programs and areas of study are given the opportunity to deliver business pitches to solve industry challenges spanning the entrainment industry,” explains Victoria Wasinger, Program Director for Full Sail’s Entertainment Business and Business Intelligence graduate programs. “During this session, students present to a panel of industry professionals and compete for a chance to win scholarships ranging from $2,000 to $20,000.”
Prior to the competition, students were presented with real-world business problems by industry professionals, and then tasked with creating cunning and innovative solutions. The students pitched their solutions to the participating companies, and finalists were chosen based on factors such as realism, innovation, and more.
The 2024 Full Sail Means Business Pitch Competition winners were Steven Angulo, Diego Carballido Romero, and Hannah Howard; they were awarded $20,000, $10,000, and $5,000 scholarships, respectively. The competition also named five finalists – Carlos Dominguez Sosa, Juan Herrera Gordo, Destiny Washington, Michael Stokes, and Solange Ruiz Apunte – all of whom were awarded a $2,000 scholarship for placing in the top eight.
