Announcing the Global Winner of Creativity Marathon 2021
This spring, Full Sail University invited high school students around the world to express their creativity through filmmaking in ways that identify, confront, and solve global challenges in the Creativity Marathon.
Teams from Brazil, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, India, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and the United States contributed over 550 unique entries addressing UNESCO's Sustainable Development Goals. Supported by a series of filmmaking lessons provided by Full Sail, teams had to construct three-minute videos showcasing their creativity and solutions for building a better world.
The winning submission for the 2021 Creativity Marathon was created by Ivana Salvador, Gael Dellepiane, Wagner Carrera, and Naomi Alvear of Ecuador. The video illuminated Ecuador's growing poverty rates, its effects on children, and how a transaction-based donation system could reduce these effects. Check out the video below.
In addition to a prize package that included a GoPro HERO9 Black Bundle, Adobe's Strategic Development Manager Jonathan Carrera surprised the global winners by awarding each team member a one-year subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud.
The winners were also presented with a trophy constructed from recycled components made by Brazilian artist Luis Guimarães.
